The Applied Research Center in People Management – ARC PM is rooted in historical value and leadership in social justice on issues of race, ethnicity, sovereign identities, nationality, migration, social class, gender identity and expression, and all other diversity domains of human relations.
The purpose of the ARC-PM is to contribute to both the science and the profession of people management by supporting educational programs and research that focus on factors that affect human performance in work settings in ways that have practical implications for management.
The purpose of the ARC-PM is to explores every dimension of people and organization management. Its objective is to understand the various aspects of contemporary work linked with the great changes of organizations and their environment, and study feasible strategic responses to institutional pressures, such as social movements, legislation, and ESG for instance. Our research aims at contributing to the development of human dimensions in organizations management. It helps to better combine organizations performance and humanist values
ARC-PM aims at constructing a network of agents (professors, researchers, practitioners, organizations) in order to develop applied research in the field of Human Resources, Organizational Studies and Business & Society.

What do we do:
Based upon this vision, ARC-PM’s objectives are to
- Develop applied research to build knowledge and solve actual problems in the fields of strategic human resources, including HR subsystems, people analytics, HR, ESG & stakeholders’ engagement (diversity policies, physical and mental health and safety in the workplace).
- Promote research cooperation with established and worldwide well-known similar research centers.
- Promote the participation of EBAPE’s graduate students and professors in relevant national and international conferences, such as EnANPAD, ENGPR, ENEO, EGOS, and Academy of Management
- Publish academic articles in internationally recognized academic journals and with well-reputed publishers.
- Offer workshops on Multicultural Leadership, Perspective Taking, Intercultural/Interracial Conflict Management, Intercultural Communication, Intercultural/Intergroup Decision-Making Skills and Diversity of the workforce
